Mikel Garcia — CV

Mikel Garcia

Product Marketing Manager · Head of Marketing

Berlin, Germany

Product marketer working at the intersection of product, design and marketing. Six years marketing complex, technical products, most recently taking a fintech data company from Marketing Content Manager to Head of Marketing, where I run both strategy and hands-on execution for a lean team: campaigns, launches, SEO and content, plus the automation and tooling that let a small team ship like a big one. Active music producer and lifelong tinkerer with creative tools.

  • Head of Marketing

  • Marketing Content Manager

Own marketing strategy and its execution for a technical product. Built the team's operating system across four workstreams (brand, product marketing, growth, ops) and ship the work myself: programmatic SEO, launch campaigns, partner co-marketing, industry data resources, a podcast, press features in Bloomberg, Forbes and Nasdaq, and reporting on GA4 and Search Console.

Marketing Ops 2.0, the team "bible"

An operating system that lets a small team move like a big one.

Day one

new-hire ready

Built the system the team runs on: four workstreams (Brand & Positioning, Product Marketing, Growth, Ops), a clear department-ownership model, quarterly OKRs and a sprint cadence, plus a shared, version-controlled knowledge base where meetings and research are auto-summarised and filed, so every function pulls each other's latest context.

Strategy only matters if it ships. I wrote the operating system the team runs on: four clear workstreams, one owner each, quarterly OKRs, and a weekly sprint rhythm so work moves without ambiguity. It is the layer that connects planning with actually getting things out the door.

Underneath it sits a shared, version-controlled knowledge base where meetings and research are auto-summarised and filed, so every function pulls each other's latest context. The whole thing is written to be picked up by a new hire on day one.

Impact

A lean team ships consistently against strategy. It's the layer that connects planning and strategising with actually getting things out the door, and it's designed to be executable by a new hire from day one.
